LambdaServe

LambdaServe is a Lisp-based web-server constructed around Franz Incorporated's AllegroServe. I wrote this web server primarily because I got tired of writing my web-scripts in Perl and wanted to have the power of Lisp at my fingertips. This is an ongoing project, but at the present LambdaServe does provide a few useful features:

The ability to write modules/scripts in Lisp! Need I say more??? Lisp is without doubt my favorite programming language. Paul Graham's web site has some wonderful articles on Lisp; and, of course, I love what Eric S. Raymond had to say about Lisp in his guide titled How To Become A Hacker:
"LISP is worth learning for a different reason — the profound enlightenment experience you will have when you finally get it. That experience will make you a better programmer for the rest of your days, even if you never actually use LISP itself a lot."

Built-in database capabilities for all your web programming needs.

Provides the ability to send email from your code, thus allowing your web programs to automatically generate and send emails in response to a web request.

Logging and administrative abilities.
